Settings & Configuration

Customize your AI receptionist, manage your team, and configure your business.

The Settings page lets you customize everything about your AI receptionist and business operations.

Organization Settings#

Business Information#

Update your core business details:

  • Organization Name — Your business name
  • Address — Your physical location
  • Phone — Main business phone
  • Email — Business email address
  • Website — Your website URL
  • Logo — Upload your business logo or image

Business Hours#

Configure your operating hours for each day of the week:

  1. Toggle days on/off
  2. Set opening and closing times
  3. Add multiple time slots for split schedules (e.g., closed for lunch)

Your AI receptionist uses these hours to:

  • Know when you're open to callers
  • Handle after-hours calls differently
  • Schedule appointments only during operating hours

Social Media#

Add your social media links so the AI can provide them when asked:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter/X
  • LinkedIn
  • YouTube
  • TikTok

Team Members#

Inviting Members#

Add team members to your Asisto account:

  1. Go to Settings > Members
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Select their role (Admin or Member)
  5. Send the invitation

Roles & Permissions#

RolePermissions
AdminFull access to all settings, billing, and team management
MemberCan view calls, contacts, and appointments but cannot change settings

Managing Members#

  • Revoke Access — Remove a team member's access
  • Change Role — Upgrade or downgrade permissions
  • Resend Invitation — Send another invite email
  • Revoke Invitation — Cancel a pending invitation

Billing#

Subscription Plans#

View and manage your subscription:

  • Current Plan — See what you're subscribed to
  • Usage — Track your appointments and call minutes
  • Upgrade/Downgrade — Change your plan anytime

Payment Methods#

Manage your payment information:

  • Add or update credit card
  • View billing history
  • Download invoices
  • Access the billing portal for full account management

Billing Address#

Update your billing address for invoices.

Account Settings#

Profile#

Manage your personal account:

  • Name — Your display name
  • Email — Your login email (can be changed with verification)
  • Phone — Your phone number
  • Locale — Your preferred language and region
  • Profile Photo — Upload your picture

Security#

Keep your account secure:

  • Change Password — Update your password
  • Connected Accounts — Manage Google/Microsoft login connections

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)#

Add an extra layer of security to your account with two-factor authentication:

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Security
  2. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.)
  4. Enter the verification code from your app to confirm
  5. Save your recovery codes in a safe place — you'll need them if you lose access to your authenticator app

Once enabled, you'll be asked for a code from your authenticator app each time you sign in.

Notifications#

Control what emails and alerts you receive:

  • Contacts — Get notified about new contacts and updates
  • Inbox — Receive alerts for new messages and conversations
  • Weekly Summaries — Get a weekly recap of your business activity
  • Newsletter — Stay updated with Asisto news and tips
  • Product Updates — Be notified about new features and improvements

Reconfiguring Your Business#

Need to make major changes to your setup? Use Reconfigure Business to:

  • Update your business profile and AI voice
  • Modify locations and hours
  • Change services and intake questions
  • Adjust staff assignments
  • Update phone numbers

This walks you through the same setup wizard you used during onboarding, but with your existing data pre-filled.

Developer Settings#

For technical users who want to integrate Asisto with other systems.

API Keys#

Generate API keys to connect Asisto with your own applications:

  1. Go to Settings > Developers
  2. Click Create API Key
  3. Give it a name and description
  4. Set an expiration date (or choose "never expires")
  5. Copy and securely store the key — it's only shown once

Manage your keys from the Developers tab:

  • View all active keys with creation date, description, and expiration
  • See when each key was last used
  • Edit key names and descriptions
  • Revoke keys you no longer need (with confirmation)

Webhooks#

Receive real-time notifications when events happen in your Asisto account:

Setting Up a Webhook#

  1. Go to Settings > Developers
  2. Click Create Webhook
  3. Enter the URL where events should be sent
  4. Select which events to subscribe to
  5. Add an optional description
  6. Save the webhook

Available Event Types#

Subscribe to the events that matter to your integration:

  • Contact Created — A new contact was added
  • Contact Updated — A contact's information changed
  • Contact Deleted — A contact was removed

Webhook Management#

  • Enable/Disable — Toggle webhooks on or off without deleting them
  • Edit — Update the URL, events, or description
  • Test — Manually trigger a test delivery to verify your endpoint
  • Delete — Remove a webhook you no longer need

Monitoring & Debugging#

Each webhook includes a log of recent deliveries:

  • Request details — What was sent to your endpoint
  • Response details — What your server returned
  • Delivery status — Whether the delivery succeeded or failed
  • Retry mechanism — Failed deliveries are retried automatically
